it has come to my attention that my now over1 year dispute that hsbc thinks will win when they defend in court if they ever do lol ! well letts just say my sis in law after taking advice to send the latters to her bank they have settled her claim for about 85 % of what she was owed why is it that i have waited and others go through and get paid out, is it like the lottery ?and she only did it a couple of months ago ?

Luck of the draw no doubt.

Suppose it depends on how much other business your Sister in Law puts the banks way - insurances, pensions etc. and how good a customer the bank rates her.

Was her's a bank account or a credit card? Cos the cards aren't included in the waiver.

True, but they're still lumped together with all the other stayed cases.

My claim is against a credit card and I still have a stay on the claim. Went to court to get it lifted but still no go.

By all means, get your claim in. Just don't expect a quick result.

What did you put in your stay removal application.

As has been posted credit cards are not included in the waiver and this has also been clarified now by the FSA I beleive.

I've had the same thing -despite various letters and applciations, a credit card claim has been stayed since July 2007.....

They have (finally) paid out though, but not removed the account data so I'm waiting for it to be lifted so that it can get moving.
