I am a staff member of one of the main High Street Banks have been since 1985. The past six years I have had an overdraft and have been charged extortinate charges for various transactions - one month £300! My concern is being an employee how that affects me, would I be marked as a troublemaker or do you think the Bank would just tell me to shut up and get on with it!
Please have a read at this thread of our moderator Sid he is a senior employer for Barclays. http://www.penaltycharges.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=13440

It makes no difference that you are a staff member you are still entitled to re claim your un-lawful charges. Your employer can not hold this against you what so ever.
Have a look HERE (http://www.penaltychargesforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=13440) at Sids journey, he himself had concerns similar to yours...

Welcome Joanne - don't worry they probably won't even notice if you don't advertise in branch what you're up to!

Don't worry, they can't touch you for it.
And in the long run when this is all sorted out, you can be the smug one who is able to state "I told you these charges were unlawful...":D
If you have any other queries or concerns just let me know.
Sid
