Hi all,
I found and joined this site back in December just after the BBC's Money Program special. Untill now I've been undecided as to if I should/could make a claim. After seeing my latest bank statement with a £60 overdraft fee on it I was a bit miffed and decided that I need to do something, Tracking back through my statements it's not the first either, there is even one unpaid Direct Debit Fee of £70... I'm not sure if these are 2 seperate fees that the bank has decided to add together but on my statement it only shows up as one. (LTSB - Formerly known as the bank that likes to say yes)
On top of that (again on my latest statement) after being overdrawn (due to the massive charge slammed on my account) The bank has still allowed a payment to go out of my account to a collection agency (an agency who dispite having an arranged payment plan with me seem to suit themself as to when they take the payment) this wasn't a standing order or Direct Debit but a payment charged to my debit card pushing me even further overdrawn - and for which I'll no doubt be charged for again.
Anyway, sorry to rant on, but it's nice to know there are people on our side. This website has been very VERY helpful in understanding what can be done. Come Monday morning I'll be off to the post office. One thing I am unsure of is with regard to sending the first letter - should this be sent to the my branch or to the head office / customer care dept?
Cheers
Rick
